Abstract: Software defined radio (SDR) is emerging as a viable way to rapidly prototype custom protocols, analyze performance in real-world environments, and iterate on designs because it closely mirrors the functionality found in real wireless devices with the added flexibility of broader frequency coverage and reprogrammable baseband processing. This session offers a broad view of the graphical system design approach as research moves from idea to prototype using NI SDR platforms.
