Abstract: Hear how Soliton significantly reduced the time needed to prepare lab bench software for new IC bring-up by deploying a development framework across multiple R&D labs so it worked seamlessly across diverse IC product lines. The company did this by combining the object-oriented features and Create Project Wizard in LabVIEW with the flexibility of NI high-speed digital I/O (HSDIO) hardware. This resulted in a bring-up software creation wizard that cut development time by more than 90 percent; minimized IC bring-up time across diverse IC families such as ADCs, PMICs, and audio CODECs; and worked with the full range of NI HSDIO devices. Multiple semiconductor companies have deployed this solution to rapidly bring up a diverse set of fresh-from-the-fab PMICs, audio CODEC ICs, and data converters at different R&D labs and significantly reduce the validation cost and the time to market of semiconductor chips.
