Abstract: Traditionally spacecraft have been built using components that have undergone vibration testing. This is essential to ensuring sufficient ruggedness to survive launch conditions. Recent advances in large-scale multiaxis vibration testing allow for more comprehensive testing. Three laboratories currently under construction will soon be able to test the whole spacecraft as a single comprehensive system. At this session, explore the control systems for these test facilities: NASA Plum Brook for the Orion spacecraft, NASA Goddard for the James Webb Space Telescope, and Redstone Arsenal for undisclosed military hardware.
