Theory is important but it must be translated into practical, working systems. Students must know how to implement a design based on elegant and impeccable theoretical foundations. This process starts by having students simulate devices on system simulators before they design, realize, and measure real modules on software defined radio tools. This way, the teaching activity mirrors industrial research and prepares students for research and development.
