Speaker: Harry Powell (Lecturer, University of Virginia)
Students in electrical engineering must be prepared to approach design challenges with systems-level thinking, yet they must assess the performance and interaction of the individual devices that compose a system. The University of Virginia is addressing both of these concerns with new curriculum for electrical and computer engineers: the Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Series. Each course in the new sequence is taught hands-on studio style and takes a breadth-first approach to cover circuits, electronics, and signals and systems. At this session, discover how the university is integrating this curriculum with lab experiences.
