Learn how the Southwest Research Institute used LabVIEW to interface a 6-degrees-of-freedom (6DOF) Stewart platform, including manual and automated control. Researchers read and wrote custom UDP data packets to a MOOG 6DOF motion platform using LabVIEW. Feedback from the control hardware was too slow and inconsistent for their test, so they added high-precision linear variable differential transformer sensors to get even better position data.
