G2 Technologies’ fourth-generation web inspection system automatically detects and marks defects as small as 0.020 in. on material up to 240 in. wide moving at more than 1,000 feet per minute. Nine FlexRIO FPGA modules offer real-time image processing from nine high-resolution, high-speed line scan cameras to detect defects including holes, stains, spots, creases, wrinkles, and material gradients. The system also continuously monitors width and thickness in real time. It marks defect locations and stores images of each defect with information about its location using G2’s dTRAK data analytics platform.
