The convergence of the electronic warfare (EW) and cybersecurity domains implies moving down the protocol stack. As the community steadily improves resistance to attacks on the logical layers, attackers will start to move further down the stack and into the physical (PHY) layer. Wireless PHY implementations are a particularly attractive target to adversaries. At this session, discuss possible attacks on the wireless PHY layer and new instrumentation you can use to defend, capture, replay, and attack the PHY layer.
