Examine a framework to address the urgent challenges of filling the nation’s many high-tech job openings. The Finger Lakes Community College Instrumentation and Control Technologies (ICT) program collaborates closely with businesses by combining the classroom learning of advanced technical skills that are adaptable across a range of industries with co-op experience. Students learn job- and industry-specific skills while getting an opportunity to prove themselves. The ICT program has eased the learning curve of the traditional “gate keeper” courses in mathematics and physics using visual “apps” featuring LabVIEW. At this session, learn about a LabVIEW program that academicians can adapt to estimate the economic impact of their own curricula.
