Speaker: Doug Harper (Professor of Physics, Western Kentucky University)
LabVIEW is used throughout the Western Kentucky University (WKU) physics and engineering curriculum. University Physics Laboratory students use LabVIEW executables to design their own experiments by selecting the sensors to use, measurements to make, and analysis to perform. LabVIEW Academy students learn DAQ fundamentals and can obtain CLAD certification. They progress from writing simple applications for their own myDAQ devices to more complex applications designed to solve a problem for a local industry or WKU research group. At this session, learn how WKU strives to produce graduates who are proficient in DAQ and ready to use LabVIEW in the workplace or graduate research.
Very interesting approach. What I appreciate as a software developer is how you demonstrate the power of Sub-VIs (aka objects) and showing EE and Physics students the importance of writing easily debuggable and deployable code.
