Abstract: Discover how the Southwest Research Institute used the NI cRIO-9068 software-designed controller, DNP3 open communication protocols, and LabVIEW Electrical Power Suite to monitor grid frequency at 40 Hz and control electric vehicle chargers within 30 cycles. With this system, the client became the first electric vehicle fleet qualified to bid on the Energy Reliability Council of Texas ancillary services electricity market.
