AM transmission

i want to broadcat a sound file via AM modulation. i have the NI-5672 RF signal generator. i am transmitting data and catching it on my radio nearby but all i can capture is noise. how can i listen to crystal clear sound AM broadcasted.i'd appreciate it really on being guided in the right direction

Are you using the Modulation Toolkit to perform your AM modulation or are you generating your own IQ data to feed into the RFSG Write Arb Waveform VI?  Are you doing this in LabVIEW or another programming environment.  If this is in LabVIEW and you have the modulation toolkit I would recommend you take a look in the Example Finder»Toolkits»Modulation»MT RFSG Generate AM.vi.  This VI should pretty much be exactly what you are look for with the exception that it only output a single tone currently and you would have to modify it to output your sound waveform.
