I am looking for an example under LabWin/CVI for QPSK using niRFSG

Hello
There is already a rich pool of waveforms using NI-FGEN. However, I am looking for an example under LabWin/CVI for QPSK using niRFSG if available.

Hi Alish,

There is not example that I know of.  The examples available for LabVIEW are from the Modulation toolkit.  Right now we do not have the toolkit for CVI but we are working on it.

The alternative would be to look at the LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit and write the same example for CVI using the NI-RFSG drivers.

Hi Alish,

I did a little more research and found that another Application Engineer made an example code last week for a demo.
Here is his code.

Hope this helps.

Hi Alish,

I did not give you the right code.  Take this example.

Hope this helps,

Thank you very much Vincent for your good follow-ups. It seems that the zip file in your last post does not unzip properly. I re-check it once again though.

Sincerely

Alish

The only thing is it searchs in the folder of CVI 7 instead of 8.  But it will automatically change the path to CVI 8.

Thank you Vincent

I cannot unzip the contents of the file "RFSG OQPSK Example.zip". Could you zip it and upload it again please?

Thanks in advance

Alish

Hi again Vincent

I managed to unzip the file on another machine. The integrity of the zip file seems fine now and I can run the code, except an error, which reads:

"A non-debuggable thread is trying to suspend execution at address 00000001

Do you want to suspend execution?"

Thank you again

Alish

It looks like the sessionInfoHandle is not created correctly in the code.  I might have received another bad version from my collegue.  Let me check with him and get back.

Hello Vincent

I wish to send an arbitrary data packet from RFSG and measure the BER via RFSA (CVI based). Since FSK has the simplest implementation, and I also noticed that your QPSK code is based on FSK implementations (Panel title reads FSK), I wonder if you or your colleagues have any example for such setup that you could share.

Many thanks

Alish
