PXI-5660 initiate acquisition at beginning of transmission

Hi,
my doubt is I doing a test system for transmitters and I need to store data only when it starts its transmission. I want to know if there is any way to sense this transmission to start my storage, or I must keep acquiring data and verifying if the level o transmission ups to a threshold level, so start the storage.

Hi:
You can use analog edge triggering concept to trigger acquisition when the input signal exceeds a certain threshold level. You will need to install Ni-Scope 2.7 to enable this feature on the PXI-5620, which is the digitizer used in the PXi-5660. See example ni5660 Trigger IQ.vi, which ships with Ni-RFSA 1.5, as a starting point on how to write such a program.
