CTTsai,
It is not possible to change the parameters of the filters and the PLLs used in the PXI-5600, although it is only posibble to change the attenuation level. The attachment shows what you need to use to change the attenuation level of the PXI-5600. Now, again the bandpass of the downconverter is a real time bandwidth of 20 MHz and you would need to tune to a 20MHz wide frequency component at a time. You would not be able to tune to different components at the same time. I hope this answers your questions.

Our PXI-5600 are deployed at HF environment(1M to 15MHz frquencies of interest). As we all know that HF environment is very noisy and its noise floor fluctuate with times. How PXI-5600 open at 20MHz bandwidth take care of noise issue.
If I am only monitoring from 1MHz to 2MHz(Which means we only need 1MHz bandwidth), and PXI-5600 always opens at 20MHz bandwidth? The performance will be bad compare to other off-the-shelve devices? How the logic of flow for NI to take care of good SNR where NI qualified their product from 9kHz to 2.7GHz.

Hello WooYee,
Unfortunately the information you are requesting is proprietary design information.
Rest assured, however, that the specifications for the PXI-5660 RF Vector Signal Analyzer and PXI-5600 RF Downconverter are guaranteed in the stated frequency range of 9 kHz to 2.7 GHz. If you are seeing performance outside of the stated specification range, National Instruments will work with you to solve the issue.

Thanks Andy,
The opportunity for this project is huge and customer are checking against competitor solution against ours.
NI ASEAN will be having a teleconference to iron out some parameters. Thanks
