I have a NI9232 module in my cRIO setup and I would like to measure vibration with an accelerometer. Can I forexample use a Wilcoxon Research model ED-786A (teds support) and connect it directly to the module with IEPE exitation activated? Or do I need an external power source in addtion?

Thanks for your question,
Yes - the 9232 provides IEPE, which is turned on with a I/O node method or property in LabVIEW FPGA.

Ok, so no external power supply will be needed?
the NI9232 can provide the following?
Constant Power supply IB
4 mA
Min. 2 mA / Max. 10 mA
polarised untill
Voltage supply UB
+ 24 V
Min.+ 18 VDC/ Max.+ 30 VDC
