I have a cRio w/firmware 6.5.0f0, and in Safe Mode (No Software Installed).
I have Labview 2018 SP1, including SoftMotion, RT, and FPGA modules, installed and licensed on Windows host. This includes NI Max 18.5.0f0.
Through Max, I'm able to see cRio and begin to add software to chassis...
...at this point Max throws up a window saying this: "The selected target does not support this function".
The related KB link instructs me to update NI Max, but only by upgrading DAQmx and PXI platform services, or CompactRIO drivers since these drivers require a version match with NI MAX. You cannot update NI Max by itself.
So the question is, will upgrading DAQmx to 2019 (presumably) cause me to be unable to install SoftMotion 2018 because the latest version of SoftMotion (2018) is not compatible with Labview 2019?

I should add that the cRio is 9047.
