Hello!
I've got older VxWorks cRIOs and use 2019 SP1 32-bit to work with them. I've been given the all-clear to upgrade to 2023, but I found when installing LV 2023 64-bit via NI Package Manager I get a warning that installing the new RT and FPGA modules will overwrite the existing ones. Are these modules not able to have multiple versions installed? Do I need to look into virtual machines?
I was surprised I didn't see this in the forums already.
Thanks,
Erik

You can have multiple versions of LabVIEW, LVRT and LVFPGA. The rule is that you can only install the same version of LVRT and LVFPGA when you have the same version of LabVIEW.
However, you can only have one version of drivers. NI Hardware and Software Operating System Compatibility
states that VxWorks cRIO (901x or 902x) was last supported in NI-compactRIO 19.X. If you upgrade your drive to 2023, you won't be able to use VxWorks cRIO anymore, even with LabVIEW 2019. If you don't upgrade the driver, you won't be able to program cRIO (even new only) in LabVIEW 2023.
