The NI 9862 CAN module can only be supported in a subset of chassis. The NI 9862 model page lists the cRIO-901x and cRIO-908x chassis as the only chassis capable of supporting the NI 9862.

The recommended way to add CAN IO to the sbRIO-9632 is via the NI 9853 2-port CAN module and FPGA programming.
