CompactRIO 9012 - No Visa resource found

Hi,

I have this materials: CompactRIO 9012, Backplane 9104, 2 Modules 9411, Module 9205 and ENET 232/4 on the network. I use the CompactRio to do datalogging and real-time measurement on a meteorological tower.

Recently, I have problems when I execute my VIs on my CompactRIO; I can't connect to it. In MAX, I saw my backplane RIO0 but I don't see "Serial & Parallel"; it write "No Visa resource found". I try some reboot and a format disk but I always have this problem.

Anybody have an idea?

Hi Daniel,

I have seen this problem before and I usually fix it by re-assigning an IP address. I would go ahead and format the CompactRIO and re-install the software again and reboot. If after this you still see the VISA error, switch the IP reset switch to the ON position and reboot, then switch it back to OFF. Re-assing a new IP address and reboot. This should fix the VISA error you are seeing.
