Does the cRIO support remote connections from hyperterminal?

Currently on the CompactRIO i am able to switch the 'CONSOLE OUT' switch to 'on' and connect via a serial cable to my pc to get the VxWorks shell through hyperterminal (on my COM1). Hyperterminal also allows the option to use tcp/ip to make a remote connection with an ip address. Does the VxWorks kernel on the Compact RIO have support for a telnet server so i can make a remote connection?

Hi jejackson,

I am not aware of any telnet server enabled on the cRIO.  I have heard of users creating a udp-based network console on the cRIO, and I imagine a telnet server could be built for VxWorks and installed on a cRIO, but this is not natively supported with the current release.  I hope this helps!
