Failed to load shared library niwd4c.*

Hi

I am trying to implement a watchdog in a real-time application. To familiarize myself with the concept, I tried to run the "Watchdog Occurrence - RT Engine.vi" example on my RT target (desktop PC). However, when I try to deploy, I always get the following error message:

Deploying Watchdog Start.vi
Failed to download Watchdog Start.vi
LabVIEW:  Failed to load shared library niwd4c.*:iNIWatchdog_configure:C on RT target device.
Deployment completed with errors

Both Watchdog Start.vi and the library niwd4c.dll are listed under the dependencies associated with my target in the RT project explorer. I use a NI-7344 controller and LabVIEW 8.6.

What is the reason for this error, and how can I avoid it? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

Are you trying to use the Watchdog-VIs from the LV-Realtime-Palette with your 7344?

This is not possible since the whole functionality for the 7344 is available only within the Motion-Driver.

So you have to use these VIs or MAX for configuration of your card.
