Forcing Safe Mode on cRIO

Hi,

is there a solution for formatting a cRIO remotely without actuation of the Safe Mode switch? We have several cRIOs running several hours away which sometimes hang up during deployment rendering the system inoperable.

For cFP i found this thread:

How do I Boot cFP-2200 into safemode remotely?

But in my MAX (V. 4.7) i don't see the option "Force Safe Mode". Is this specific for cFP?

Any Ideas?

Regards,

Simo

Hi Simo,

The KB was specific for cFP, so you cant use this one on cRIO.

I dont think there is a solution for that one. On cRIO its necessary to switch the dip!

I hope this helps, RMathews

For the 9075/9076 (the controller does not have dip switches) you can configure the system to be in safemode in MAX (or by pressing the reset button).

Also, depending on what kind of controller you have and what you need to do, you may not need safe mode.
