GPIB Instrument Configuration on a PXI-8186 RT Controller

I am having difficulty accessing a GPIB instrument using my PXI-8186 RT controller's GPIB Port.

I  can see the GPIB controller in MAX under  Devices and Interfaces\PXI System\Chassis 1 as visa://192.168.1.67/PXI2::6::INSTR but it does not give me the option to "scan for instruments" or to add an instrument manually. No GPIB devices are shown directly under Devices and Interfaces.

The controller is running NI-488.2 RT 2.4.3 and NI-VISA 3.4

I have set my VISA permissions to "*".

Is there a way to add GPIB instruments to the RT system manually?
