I have a cRIO 9025 and have had no problems connecting to it remotely in the past. However, I believe I may have accidently edited the target's allowable access list. I first noticed the problem in the LabVIEW project explorer where attempting to connect to the target returned an error saying that the host's IP address was not on the target's allowable access list. However, at the time, I was still able to connect to the target in MAX. Now I cannot even connect in MAX though, and when I try to connect through LabVIEW, it simply says "Failed to connect to target".
I have seen several forums discuss changing the .ini file in order to give my computer access, but I am unsure of how to do this without being able to establish a connection to the target.

Are you able to see the device in NI MAX under remote systems when the device is connected still? Basically, I just want to make sure your LabVIEW project is referencing the correct IP address.
Are you able to use a program such as 'WinSCP' to remotely edit the files on the RIO?
You could also try using putty.
