How can I view a sign wave and a square wave in real time?

My frequency range is from 65KHz to 75KHz. What will I need to view a sign wave and a square wave at the same time in real time. I need to adjust the time of these signals while viewing them. I am using LabVIEW 6.0 Full Development and I have a GPIB card. Will I need a DAC card for my computer? (Cost is a big issue)

Thanks,
Brad

Brad,

I think the best way to do it is with a DAQ Board, since if you were to use an external intrument like an osciloscope and an instrument driver in Labview with the GPIB but, you there is still the speed limitation of the GPIB bus, there could be a delay between the instrument and the computer. Thus, I suggest to use one of our Multifunction boards which are the more cost effective according to the multiple operations that can handle. The model I suggest for the 75 khz maximum frquency is the PCI-MIO16E-1 which has 1.25 Msamples/second, so you can get a pretty decent waveform acquired inmediatly getting rid of any other interface as the GPIB.

Hope this helps
