How to use Advantech PCI-1711 in Labview Realtime Target

Hello everyone. 

I'm using Labview Realtime module 2017 to control a system. An Advantech PCI-1711 Data acquisition card is installed on the target PC which the connection is based on LAN. Unfortunately, I could not Use this DAQ because as you see in the picture (1) there is no such device recognized by the MAX in the remote system. 

I tried to copy the driver .dll files into the target through FTP connection .and four files "Bio1711.dll" "Bio1711s.inf",  "Bio1711s.sys" and "WdfCoInstaller01005.dll" are copied to the "ftp://***.***.***.**/ni-rt/system/ " directory. As I read in some of the topics regarding devices and necessary dlls. However, It didn't work. I studied VISA Driver configuration reports but, again I could find any solution. Is there any way to use Advantech PCI-1711 DAQ in realtime Target?

Hello Mikhaelov

I was checking this Advantech PCI-1711 specification, and even though it says LabVIEW, it does not says which version is supported. Usually, an NI DAQ card will need the proper DAQmx driver to be installed in order to MAX to detect it. I am guessing that you might be missing some drivers and functions from Advantech to make this work properly. I am not 100% sure of how your RT target is configured, but this card seems to be supported only by non-RT OS (Win7,8,10).

Hello Lsan and thank you for devoting time

As I look inside the .dll files in the Target PC. there are several .dll files for some NI DAQs but I was wondering is it possible to write the driver my own? Is it gonna work? I think I can use PCI-1711 .dll driver files to make MAX recognize the DAQ because the content inside the .inf files of the NI-DAQ drivers and Advantech .inf files are somewhat similar.

The VI you mention is presumably part of Advatech proprietary software package that comes with the card, so you should advantech pci 1711 their CD-ROM for examples. This manual also for: Real-Time Measurement and Control: Solo los navegadores compatibles con TLS 1.
