Is the PXI-5401 FGEN supported in realtime?

Hi,

I have searched this forum and the support pages but unfortunally I haven't find any soultion yet so I pop the question to this great forum.

I have a PXI system with a 8186 controller wich is running RT os. I also have a FGEN card (PXI-5401). Now I had tried to run the basic signal generating examples i.e. the niFgen_Function_Generator_Example.vi, but it dosen't work. I get the error -1074135030 at niFgen Initialize.vi "Failure loading driver module", I have read somewere else (at this forum I think) that the ni-FGEN won't work in labview RT? So how do I proceed from here?, must I buy I new card?, and in that case, which one? Or is it some other work around, like using tradinonal-DAQ driver or something?

Hi Magnus!

According to the NI-FGEN ver. 2.4  readme file (ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/instr_drivers/multienv/ivi/windows/current/library/ivifgen/NI-FGEN24_Readme...) the supported modules are NI 5402/5404/5406/5412/5421/5422/5441 only.

Unfortunately you would have to buy a new card or make your controller dual bootable
