LV2010SP1: can't add new c series module to 9075 chassis. CAN add it with 2011. NI-RIO 4.1 installed. What gives?

Hi,

I will add some screen shots to show what is happening. I'll show it first in LV2011, where everything works as expected:

In LV2011, add a cRIO 9075 controller to  project . Note that in all this screenshots I am NOT using autodiscover, I am just using the "new target or device" option.  I am doing it this way because I don;t have controllers yet but need to get started on programming.

LV2011: after adding chassis, add a module

The new module is then selected and added.

Trying the exact same process in LV2010SP1, again using a cRIO 9075 chassis, I can't add module:

I don't have problems creating and adding modules for OTHER model of controllers. I had no problem creating and adding a new module to a cRIO-9022 controller+9114 chassis.

I installed NI-RIO 4.1, because it supports LV2010SP1 according to the chart from this KB https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/17/ni-rio-and-labview-version-compatibilit...

Furthermore, accroding to ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm

the cRIO 9075 integrated controller should be just fine with LV2010SP1:

cRIO-9075 2010 SP1 2010 SP1 2010 SP1 3.6.1
cRIO-9076 2010 SP1 2010 SP1 2010 SP1 3.6.1

I'd like to keep everything in LV2010SP1.  Any ideas? Should I just reinstall everything??

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

We just discussed this on the phone, but I would like to post here as well in case anyone else experiences this problem.

The 9075 only supports Scan mode starting in LabVIEW 2011, so it will not work with 2010. The compatibility chart for scan mode can be found here - ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm and https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/09/software-support-for-compactrio--compac...
