Local compiler for LabView FPGA not installed

I have loaded LabView 2012 and FPGA module version 12, NI-RIO 12.0 and Win 7.  This is confirmed using MAX.  I have the computer connected via MXI-3 to a PXI chassis.  The chassis contains a PXI-7831R card (seen by MAX).  The software is currently loaded as an evaluation.  I have a current locally managed named computer volume license that I am working to generate a valid license file.  When attempting to compile an example FPGA VI, I get a message that the compiler is not installed.  I see no option to configure the compile server looking at Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>LabView2012>>LabView Utilities.  No LabView Utilities menu.  When attempting to Build or ReBuild, the Select Compile Server dialog indicates under Use Local Compile Server that local compilation tools are not installed.  Where do I get the compiler and how is it installed?

Hi wantacobra,

To compile the FPGA code, we will need the Xilinx Compile Tools installed on the machine. Additionally, since the 7831R uses a Virtex-II FPGA, we will need the 10.1 version of the Xilinx Compile Tools installed. This KnowledgeBase discusses which compile tools we will need for the LabVIEW version as well as links to download them. Note: you will have to register the version of LabVIEW FPGA to download.

Best Regards,

Bill

OK. Excellent.  I now have the compile tools 10.1 downloaded and can compile an example for the PXI-7831R.  Thanks for the help.
