Hello,
I have to measure the speef of a wheel by using an Hall sensor. I use a compactRIO to calculate it.
My first question is :
I have a module 9205 it is a voltage analog input, it's okay or it's better to take an digital input? For example the NI-9411.
My second question is my wheel have 100 teeth, and its speed max is 3000 rpm. So I need a frequency min. at 3000/60*100? Or I have to multiplie this value by 2, because there are 200 states for one turn (teeth - no teeth)?
And my third question is :
Can I only use veristand to do it? I think I can because I can do counter in it, because I know the frequency, and so I count the teeth for x time and voilà.
