MyRIO - 1900
OS: Win 10
MAX ver. 14.0.0.0f0
I'm trying to get the MyRIO module to start up for the first time and having difficulty with it responding.
It appears in the Devices and Interfaces section and also Remote Systems with a broken link.
When the Getting Started Wizard is launched, it returns:
Unrcoverable Error
The NI myRIO is in an unhandled state and cannot be recovered.
Current State: %sInconsistent IP Settings
Any ideas about how to fix this one?
Thanks for any assistance,
Joel

MyRIO - 1900
OS: Win 10
MAX ver. 14.0.0.0f0 (Upgraded to 18.5.0.0f0)
Emboar,
I have tried formating, but the Login dialog opens and the OK button is grayed out.
This prevents me from performing the restoration steps described in the link you gave me.
This makes me suspect that a password must've been set by someone.
The Getting Started Application can not locate the myRIO, or it responds with an
unrecoverable error of "inconsistent IP settings."
I configure the IP address to 192.168.1.35 offline, but when I select configure myRIO in
the Getting Started Application, it reverts back to the default IP 172.22.11.2.
I have attached a support report generated by MAX in hopes that an NI Support employee is monitoring
this conversation.
I've been going in circles with this thing for the last 3 days, and it has become frustrating.
I just want to know if this error can recover the unit or if I need to end the pain and pitch the damn thing in the trash.

Can you login to myRIO with the following credentials?
Username: admin
Password: (blank)
You shouldn't need to enter password.

The Login option in MAX is grayed out.
Is there another way to login to the myRIO or reset the password?

You are connecting your myRIO to PC through the USB-B connector on myRIO, correct?
The IP address you set was probably for the Wifi port.
You may want to contact NI and ask for further instructions.

Correct, but it reverts back to the factory IP.
No idea about how to fix this yet.

This link:
https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P9dXSAS&l=en-US
states this:
"If your CompactRIO does not have DIP switches, follow these instructions:
Hold the RESET button until the STATUS LED turns solid orange or yellow.
Release the RESET button and the controller will restart. The STATUS LED will blink three times indicating the controller is in Safe Mode.
Hold the RESET button again until the STATUS LED turns solid orange or yellow."
but after the STATUS LED turns solid orange or yellow, the myRIO STATUS LED returns to the 2 blinks.
Is there no support for this product anymore?

You should contact NI to get your myRIO fixed.
The steps you indicated are for old VxWorks CompactRIO and not myRIO.
