NI 9213 TCs with voltages present

Solved!
Go to solution

We have a new NI-DAQmx and two NI 9213 TC input modules.  Need to monitor Temps on several active devices.  In this AC-to-DC conversion module there could be voltages on the order of up to 60VAC or 150VDC on the Drain of a MOSFET.  Would physically attaching Thermocouples to these live voltages cause any issue at the NI 9213 input, or do they need to be electrically isolated?

Hi Bob,

The overprotection voltage for that module is listed at 30 V between any two inputs. Voltages in the range you mention have the potential to damage the card. You’ll have to electrically isolate those voltages from your NI 9213 module.
