NI driver _Controls IEEE 488 instruments + Ethernet-based TCP/IP network _ Tektronix _RSA3408A

Dear Sir/ Madam,

we have Tektronix RSA3408A  it is real-time spectrum analyzer,  and NI offers  driver  for GPIB Controls IEEE 488 and we want to make an automatic acquisition program using LabVIEW and this setup will work remotely over Ethernet-based TCP/IP network.  Does this available   NI driver work over Ethernet-based TCP/IP network? Do we need to order GPIB Ethernet-to-GPIB controller or Ethernet is enough to implement this LabVIEW program  ?

Hello,

Yes you would need a GPIB-ENET Instrument control device to interface between your device and the network in which you have it connected to.  With that you should have no issue in controlling the device using LabVIEW.
