Hi all,
I need to set up a PCI-104 system running LabVIEW RT. The system will include a computer board and an AI board. The requirements for AI are as follows: 8 differential AI channels (multiplexed), 12-bit resolution (or higher), +/-10 V range, aggregate sampling rate of 200 kS/s. Now I was wondering if anyone is aware of such a board that has a driver compatible with LabVIEW RT (VISA?). I don't have the resources to develop a driver like this. Alternatively, if someone has a means to develop such a driver on a contractual basis, please let me know. Here's one board that meets the project requirements:

Hi Cepera,
I personally don't know of any PCI 104 boards. The AI requirements should be fairly easy to meet however. Please refer to this DevZone that talks about the requirements for running a RT PC with LabVIEW. You'll just need to find boards with the specified chip sets.
Hope this helps,
Starla T.

Hi,
Did you find a solution for your PCI-104 application?
I am currently trying to work with an Advantech PCM-3718HO multifunction card (100 kS/s instead of 250 kS/s for your proposed model) plugged onto a PCM-3362N motherboard (which works fine with LabVIEW RT). I have not been able to get the driver to work with LabVIEW RT yet...
Thanks in advance,
Mariole

No, I don't have a solution. A long time ago, at the time of ISA bus, I was able to use built-in AI/AO with LabVIEW RT on PC/104 boards using Port In and Port Out commands. Those days are long gone...

Hi,
For third party hardware, it requires that the vendor supplies a driver in real time. If they do have support for it, you'll be able to find it on their product website. If you're looking for a MultifunctionDAQ that is supported in LabVIEW Real-Time (RT), then I'd suggest choosing one of our products since they're verified working, and it's officially supported by us.
For a list of options, please see the following (note: the USB devices will not work in real time as of now):

Cheers!
