Hi
I have connected a PCIe-6320 to a calorimeter via a SHC68-68 -EP cable. The software of the calorimeter is running on Windows 10. I can record the time but not the temperature and the heat output (milliwatts) (Values are negative and zero, respectively, see attachement) . I think that the card does not recognize the equipment. Any idea on how to configurate the card please?
Thanks.

Hi Joel,
The PCIe-6320 is a multi-function I/O card so is capable of reading digital and analog voltage signals.
You can take a look at the datasheet for specific values on analog/digital ranges.
If your temperature and heat flow is in milliamps, then you will need to connect some external circuitry that will allow the PCIe-6320 to find the voltage from your current. It will not be able to read a current value directly.
By using a resistor of known value, you can calculate the voltage using Ohm's Law (V=IR), where "I" will be varying depending on the output from your calorimeter.
You can then read the voltage across the resistor with your PCIe-6320 card.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer.
the calorimeter signal comes out as milliwatts.
the temperature signal should be volt I think.
I am not familiar in card configuration, so I think that I would need more information on how to configurate the card.
I do not want to add any more peripherical devices as I do not think that this would be possible.
