Problem of rebooting NI cRIO 9074

Hi,

We are trying to retrieve an image from a NI cRIO 9074. However, the image retrieving process stuck in the rebooting stage and the device is disconnected after soft rebooting. This problem happens when using RAD utility, running LabVIEW example and pressing RESTART button in NI MAX . If pressing the reset button on the controller and doing a hard rebooting, the target was connected again. Does anyone meet this problem before? Does anyone have a solution?

Hi ArtuBen, 

Just to confirm do you see this "hang" when you restarting the cRIO through NI MAX? That lets us eliminate LabVIEW and the RAD utility from the issue.

As a first step I'd try reformatting the cRIO (right click cRIO in NI MAX » Format as per Restore LabVIEW RT Target to Factory Default Configuration?

If this doesn't work I have a few questions:

1) How long does the cRIO hang for when restarting?

2) What position are the DIP Switches on the chassis in? (p14 cRIO-9074 Manual) 

3) What are the Startup Settings (like the below) in NI MAX set to?

4) How does the STATUS LED flash during the hang? (p16 cRIO-9074 Manual)

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for replying my question. This cRIO has important code deployed on it so we cannot format the hardware directly. We also see this "hang" when rebooting the controller through NI MAX.
