Hi Everyone,
I'm experiencing some issues with NI Measurement Automation Explorer (NI-MAX). I have a couple of Windows 10 PCs, all but identical in set-up. One of them as lost the ability to discover cRIOs on my Network (Domain). In fact, it can't find them anymore via local link with all the appropriate subnet masks etc. either. The other PC still works perfectly in all the same scenarios, looking for (and it's case, finding) all the same cRIO targets when searching remote targets in MAX.
It's almost as though some background service has failed on one PC, or fallen foul of some update or some such, and the other hasn't. Has anyone any idea what this service might be, or how NI-MAX does it's "broadcast" to detect the remote systems so that I can check something specific?
The NI-MAX "troubleshoot" routine can get hold of the cRIOs by IP address on the PC that can't find them itself by searching any more; and once you define the IP address of a cRIO it is instantly connected with the chassis name available etc. It just can't discover when searching remote systems anymore.
Windows 10 is at 21H1 or 21H2 on the PCs I've tried (several at this point), and I've run NI-RIO 18.5 (where I started), 20.0, and 20.5 with re-istallations and repairs - nothing fixes it.
Any ideas appreciated.
Many thanks
Tim
