RT install error - unresolved dependencies

Hello,

I'm trying to install Labview RT 8.2 on a ETS PC system.

I run into following error:

Cannot continue because of the following unresolved dependencies:

LabVIEW Real-Time 8.2 Requires LabVIEW RT Common 8.2.

I don't see LabVIEW RT Common 8.2 on RT installation CD and I installed pretty much everything from it on my host PC.

Please help.

Hi Fedor,

Unresolved dependencies occur when there is a software dependency on the host. The KnowledgeBase article on Unresolved Dependencies should hopefully help you resolve the issue, and specifically addresses the same error message you are seeing.

Thanks for the reply, but the article does not say how to obtain LabVIEW RT Common 8.2. As I mentioned I installed complete Labview RT 8.2 add on form the supplied CD.

I think that this part of the linked document may refer to my case:

"This situation can also occur because on PXI systems after correctly installing Real-Time Software on a host machine for cFP and cRIO were it installs some common Real-Time files but not PXI target specific files."

How do I fix it?

For anyone who has been reading this forum or has a similar issue, I am currently looking into updating the KnowledgeBase article to make it more clear.  In the meantime, I worked with Fedor separately and he was able to resolve the dependencies after reinstalling LabVIEW Real-Time on his host PC.
