RTProxy.exe uses all of my resources...

Not sure if something else is wrong, but when I leave my computer idle, all of a sudden I get windows memory errors "Windows is running low on virtual memory".

When I look at task manager, even though RTProxy is only using about 38M, a look at the available physical memory shows that it's almost all used, and the "Commit Charge" is max'd out. Everything is moving at a snails pace.

Again, the RTProxy.exe task seems to be only taking about 38M of memory but as soon as I end that task, suddenly all of my windows memory comes back and everything is fine.

I'm using a new install of LV8, I think I have the pro control version.

Just wondering if anyone knows why this would happen.

Could you create a MAX report and attach the files generated in a ZIP file? This is so I can get version information. Also, what hardware are you using? Does this happen whether the hardware is connected or not?

I'm trying to get it to repeat, and now it's not doing it. I can send you the MAX report if you wish anyway.

I am thinking it had something to do with those Keithley drivers that I had problems with (on another post lol). After I've removed them and reinstalled all the RT drivers, so far, I have not seen this problem.

Sounds like it is fixed, however I would recommend upgrading to the latest LV8 and RT. We have a patch out that gives version 8.0.1 in LabVIEW and modules.

GO TO:

Support>>Drivers and Updates>>Search LabVIEW,LabVIEW, 8.0.1, Windows.

You will get results that include the overall patch and the patch for Real-Time as well.
