Hello!
We are using common industrial PC for Real-Time module targets. For a reason or other ETS cannot be installed to provided Ultra ATA/100 harddisk (Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3802110A 80GB). Desktop PC Format Hard Disk Drive utility floppy runs normally without error messages. But after boot BIOS message tells no system disk is found. PC evaluator software (downloaded for ni.com) reports no errors and it sees harddisk normally (meaning it is formatted properly as FAT32).
So is there something wrong in this industrial PC? I moved this Barracuda harddisk to Dell Optiplex GX270 PC, which is known to be compatible with ETS. Same thing, no system disk is found. Next I moved Dell's harddisk (Western Digital Caviar WD400 40GB) to my industrial PC. And it worked!
So the only conclusion is that this Seagate Barracuda harddisk doesn't work with ETS???? Does anyone know any better?
