Synchronize TSN IEEE 802.1AS time to NTP or PC clock?

Hi,

i have a question regarding NI-Sync TSN IEEE 802.1AS:

As i understand, TSN will synchronize the system clock onboard a cRIO to a network time. (In cases with multiple cRIOs on the same network, one of them will be chosen as master clock)

In my case there is only one cRIO and one PC with a direct ethernet connection.

Is there any way i can override the selectrion of master clock, thus force TSN to use the PC system clock, or an NTP server as master? In other words, force the cRIO system clock to synchronize to the same clock as the PC? The system will run continuous measurements 24/7 "forever", using DAQ-mx functions, and i therefore need to ensure the cRIO clock is kept in sync all the time.

I have considered using NTP directly on the cRIO, until i saw this article, advice against using NTP on TSN-enabled cRIOs (I use 9040), when using DAQ-mx:
