I am using a PXI-7833R with a non-NI backplane and controller (Kontron CP306). I would like to synchronize the board to a GPS receiver 10MHz clock and 1 pulse per second signal. I have been able to synchronize the board sample clock by connecting the 10MHz GPS clock to the PXI clock line, but I have been unable to detect a trigger on the PXI trigger lines. I can trigger the board by injecting the 1 pulse per second into a DIO channel, but not from the PXI triggers. The board does not seem to detect any signals injected into these trigger inputs. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,
You can add the PXI triggers as an FPGA IO source, and then you should be able to see them alongside your DIO. To do that, just go to the FPGA Target -> New -> FPGA I/O and select the triggers from the list of PXI signals.
