Hello to all,
I'm new at the NI forums, and I came here to search for a solution to my Car Crash Test. On this test, I use industrial accelerometers to measure the impact of the vehicle on the wall. These accelerometers sends analog eletrical signals and I need to sample theses signals at ~60ks/s. I never used a DAQ system before, and that's why I came here. So here are my questions:
1) What is the cheaper DAQ system from NI that I can purchase to adcquire the signal from the accelerometer?
2) How can I interface with this system? (I saw some boards that works with PCI, Ethernet, USB, etc)
3) The acquisition data is stored on the device (board) and then transfered to the PC, or it is stored on the computer with data send on-the-fly during the acquisition?
4) Are there anyone here that has some experience with car crash test and knows something about what kind of sensors and accelerometers we can use, and how to integrate it with the NI DAQ systems?
Thank you for your help!

For crash testing you need a DAQ that is rated for 100 g or more shock and meets SAE J211 or ISO 6487 specifications. See www.dtsweb.com for DAQ that meet all crash test requirements.
