Using FTP commands in a program on an RT controller?

Can an RT controller FTP a file to a host computer? I do not want the host computer to use FTP to go get the file from the controller. I know the controller has an FTP server, but I don't know if you can actually use commands on the controller to FTP files.

Hi settlesj,

You can create a VI to run on the Real-Time controller to transfer files back to the host using the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit.  This toolkit contains the functions necessary to use the FTP protocol in your VI.  Otherwise, as you've mentioned, the user would need to use FTP from the host to get files from the target.  Let us know if this helps answer your questions.  Thanks!
