Dear All,
My application requires that there must be very less time delay or latency( say 3-4 microseconds) between acquiring 8 analog signals, processing them, comparing them with 20 Khz Triangular wave and outputting them to digital port(Sinusiodal Pulse Width Modulation). I have Pharlap as well as VxWorks and my NI harware is PCI-6024E.
I have following doubts, Please answer my queries.
1. Does using Real Time Operating System like Pharlap or VxWorks reduce the time delay between inputting and outputting data? ( I have different views from different people. Some say that using RTOS, time delay will decrease, some say that RTOS will not affect time delay, It totally depends upon the hardware card that i Use)
2. Can I use Pharlap with PCI-6024E?
3. Can I use VxWorks with PCI-6024E?
