Ralph,
The 1302 is a breakout terminal block for the 1180 which is just a feed through module. This means that it gives you direct access to the 50 pin connector on the back end of your SCXI chassis (the 1359). Now the 1359 is just a 68pin to 50 pin converter for connecting your DAQ card to your SCXI chassis. So the upshot of all of that is the 1302 is going to give you access to lines from your DAQ card. Some of those are going to be input lines, others outputs, etc. Take a look at this Knowledge Base about the subject, and follow the links in the KB. Ultimately you are going to have to look at what DAQ card you have and the pinout translation between the 68-50 pin converter (the 1359) to determine what pin is what.
I hope that has helped (more then confuse =P ). Feel free to post back if you have questions about anything I mentioned here.

That listed the pinouts for the 1180, which helped. Along with what you posted I think I can get all of this to make some sense.
Thanks!

Thanks very much...
Wondering, since I have your attention, does NI make any sort of breakout or extension that's a D/A converter? I'd like to eventually control multiple relays this way, rather than just two via analog and I'm hoping to do it within the confines of the SCXI setup we've got.
Ideas? Existing product?

Relay drivers sound exactly like what I'll need.
Can you explain the difference between one-wire and two-wire setups? Is the single wire unit just using a common ground?
