As far as I've been able to establish the secondary port on all dual port RIO and cFP controllers is not able to run in DHCP mode. Is this really the case, and if so is there a workaround or upcoming solution for this? Fixed IP is not a solution, although we have to be able to use that as well.
We have customers who need to use both network interfaces with both DHCP and fixed addresses (long story short; these customers use DHCP temporrarily to set up their networks, but rely on the units to fall back to fixed if the DHCP server is offline (a bit special yes, but it works that way for good reasons).This is something we are able to do via ni-rt.ini manipulation for port 1, but port 2?).
