Hi Folks,
I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on making a sbRIO work with a WiFi adapter.
Currently prototyping on a sb-RIO 9636 which is VxWorks , but considering either using a linux rt based system or even grabbing a myRIO as the project doesn't have a lot of requirements.
Any thoughts on being able to get WiFi working on a sbRIO appreciated.
Thanks,
Maciej

I'm not sure if you are concerned about "the size" of the system but I have seen people connecting cRIOs,sbRIOs etc into a wireless router and then configuring the router to work as an access point.
FIRST teams also use this method to wirelessly connect to roboRIOs but I cant seem to find the guide (wasn't too complicated)

Hi Miro,
Thanks for the quick reply.
For prototyping this'll work, but for a product if we get a router that's double the size of the sb-RIO it kind of defeats the purpose.
I guess we'd have to dig deeper into seeing if we can find a router that is small enough to make sense.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Maciej

Maybe something like this might work:
I guess it all depends on the application (environment, cost etc)
