cRIO 9022 Labview 2012 Problem

Hi,

I'm currently working with the cRIO 9022, which was programmed using Labview real-time 2009 SP1. We recently upgraded to labview 2012 and now, when I try to connect to the cRIO, it says that the target is running a version Labview real-time that is different from the one currently installed. I kinda expected that to happen. But what I was confused about was how I would go about fixing this. Do I need to wipe the cRIO clean and reupload all the FPGA code/firmware? How much of a hassle would this conversion process be? Please help!

Hello bickyshakya,

The version of LabVIEW Real-time on your cRIO, needs to match the version of your development environment.  You can easily ensure this by installing the correct version to your cRIO from within NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI MAX).

It should only take a few minutes to write your new software.  You will want to ensure that your version of NI-RIO (driver) and your version of LabVIEW are compatible by checking this chart: NI-RIO and LabVIEW Version Compatibility

You can download any version of NI-RIO you need from our driver download page: https://www.ni.com/en/search.html?pg=1&ps=10&sb=%2Brelevancy&sn=catnav:sup.dwl.ndr.  Simply search "NI-RIO" and the version number you need.
